Everything connects to a meaningful cause
My name is Spencer Ludwig and I founded $2 Shows, Inc. in the summer of 2008 while I was still in High School, putting on concerts and art shows in my back yard that were connected to a community cause. Due to the affordable ticket price ($2 a pop), exciting artist line-ups and the easy, engaging and exciting ways the shows inspired people to support the community, these events quickly became popular, eventually drawing crowds of 800 people or more inspiring Lauren and Clayton to bring $2 Shows to Austin, Texas. This viral effect caused it to become difficult for $2 Shows
to exist in backyards or downtown warehouses so I had no choice but to shut down activity and find a way that $2 Shows could exist in well established venues. Through months of legal work and preparation, $2 Shows is finally re-launching where it all began in Los Angeles as an official non-profit organization in a bigger and better way than ever. We have expanded into multiple genres and categories of art, hosting separate monthly events throughout the community starting in May of 2011! Eventually we will be expanding into communities throughout the US. Hope to see you soon at the next $2 Show.
